FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Saint Leo men's basketball traveled to the Rick Case Arena and fought hard but fell to the No. 7/8 Nova Southeastern Sharks 90-79 Saturday afternoon.

Saint Leo (10-13, 7-8 SSC) saw
Rusty Moorer and
Malik Fuller both drop a career-high where Moorer scored 23 points and Fuller 13 in the Lions loss.
Kyran McClure (15),
Isaiah Hill (12) and
Yalen Reed (12) joined in with double-figures.

Nova Southeastern (19-2, 13-2 SSC) had David Dennis and Mark Matthews scored 20-plus points as Dennis scored a game-high 28 points while Matthews added 26. Dwayne Gibson (14) and Pat Huffine (10) also scored in double-figures.

How It Happened
- Saint Leo and Nova Southeastern started things off close as the two teams battled back and forth before the Sharks pushed out to a 10-point lead, 24-14 with 11:10 to play.
- Malik Fuller's three at the 5:35 mark brought the game to within two, 33-31, before Fuller's layup tied things at 35 with 4:37 to go in the opening half.
- Isaiah Hill hit two free throws with a minute to go to bring the game to within two, 42-40 before the Sharks saw Matthews hit one to head into the break up three, 43-40.
- The Lions would cut it to one point, 45-44 and again at 49-48 but would quickly fall behind 61-50 with 12 minutes to play.
- Isaiah Hill would drain a three to cut the deficit to seven, 75-68 with 5:56 to go in regulation.
- Trailing by 10, Kyran McClure's layup at the 5:13 mark would bring the game to within eight, before the Lions trailed by double-digits for the remainder of the game, falling to the Sharks 90-79.
