Men's Tennis Notes
- No. 7 Saint Leo men's tennis travels to Columbus, Ga. for a pair of matches.
- The Lions will take on No. 1 Columbus State on Friday at 2 p.m. before facing North Georgia on Saturday at 11 a.m.
- The Lions opened the 2019 season with a 6-1 victory over visiting Gustavus Adolphus. All six Lions singles players picked up wins while GAC took the doubles point.
- No. 1 Columbus State opened the season with a 7-0 victory on the road against Anderson University. The Cougars were 28-3 last season and won the NCAA Division II National Championship.
- North Georgia already has three matches under its belt with a trio of 7-0 victories over Emmanuel College, Lenoir-Rhyne and Belmont Abbey. The Nighthawks finished just 9-10 a season ago.

- The Lions opened the 2019 season with a 7-0 victory over visiting Gustavus Adolphus. The Lions won all nine matches on the day with Nina Furmaniak and Andrea Ivanovic each winning 6-0, 6-0 in their singles matches.
- No. 3 Columbus State opened the season with a 7-0 victory on the road against Anderson University. The Cougars were 25-3 last season, losing in the national semifinals to eventual National Champion Barry.
- No. 12 North Georgia is 3-0 this season with victories over Emmanuel, Lenoir-Rhyne and Brenau. Last season the Nighthawks finished 16-8, falling in the opening round of the NCAA Division II National Championship to eventual finalists West Florida.

Softball Notes
- No. 5 Saint Leo enters the weekend at 3-3 where they will take on Azusa Pacific, West Florida, Molloy, Harding, and no. 2 Southern Arkansas in the NFCA D2 Leadoff Classic.
- The Lions opened the year last weekend with a 13-5 win over No. 11 Alabama-Huntsville before falling to the Argonauts 9-2. Saint Leo bounced back and defeated Lee 13-1 before falling in extra innings to West Georgia 6-5. The Green and Gold closed out the weekend at the Gulf Shores Invitational with a 1-1 record Sunday with a 1-0 loss to Delta State and a 4-1 win over Mississippi College.
- On the year, Shyanne DuBois and Kacie Kelly are tied for the team lead in average at .455 where DuBois leads the team in runs scored (7), and stolen Bases (7-7). DuBois and Kelly are tied for hits (10), doubles (4), registered at-bats (22), total bases (14) and slugging percentage (.636).
- Records: Azusa Pacific enters at 0-2, West Florida 4-0, Molloy and Harding open their season on the weekend, while No. 2 Southern Arkansas is 3-0.Â

Baseball Notes
- No. 23 Saint Leo baseball hosts Lee Friday and Saturday for a three-game series. The Lions took two of three over the Flames last season inside Thomas B. Southard Stadium.
- Both the Flames and Lions enter this weekend with identical 3-1 records with the Lions taking down nationally-ranked North Greenville and taking two of three from Alabama Huntsville. The Flames opened the season with a four-game series against Lindenwood taking three of four.
- Seniors Jared Morello and Peyton Isaacson have been the early offensive leaders for the Lions as they each are carrying a plus-.500 batting average into the weekend.
- Redshirt junior Ryan Nolan led the way on the mound last weekend going 8.0 innings against Alabama Huntsville while allowing just two hits and no runs.
- Lee has been paced by redshirt junior Alan Smith who has a .455 batting average with two doubles, a homerun and three RBI.
- On the mound the Flames have five pitchers with a perfect 0.00 ERA after the opening weekend including Alex Butler who saw 6.1 innings of work against Linderwood but was unable to secure the win due to the Flames taking a 1-0 lead in the eighth to win the game. The freshman pitcher allowed just four hits and struck out five.

Women's Basketball Notes
- Saint Leo fell 55-49 to Lynn on Wednesday. Despite the loss, Wortley led comeback efforts in the third scoring 14 points in the 10 minutes on her way to a 16-point performance. Gina Brierley joined Wortley in double-digit scoring with 14.
- On the season, Wortley averages 11.0 PPG as the team-high scorer followed by Brierley averaging 9.4 PPG.
- Off the window, Wortley (6.0 RPG) and Alani Gallagher (5.0 RPG) lead the Lions.
- Nova Southeastern recorded an 80-60 win over Rollins on Wednesday, powered by a 30-point first-half lead. All five Sharks starters reached double digit scoring paced by Alison Hughes with 18 points.
- Hughes leads the Sharks attack averaging 13.9 PPG shooting 43.7-percent from the floor. Christen Prasse (12.2) and Jordan Tully (10.3) also join in on the double-digit season scoring average. Prasse is the dominating Shark off the glass with 7.4 RPG.
- Last meeting on Saturday, Dec. 8, the Saint Leo women's basketball team's second-half surge forced eight lead changes and an overtime period to decide the tilt against the Nova Southeastern Sharks. Despite overcoming a 15-point deficit, Saint Leo fell 87-85 in overtime in the Marion Bowman Activities Center.
- The matchup: The Sharks score 73.38 PPG and 34.8 RPG over the Lions 56.4 PPG and 34.4 RPG average. Saint Leo enters the game shooting a team 36.4-percent while Nova Southeastern hosts shooting 46.6-percent.

Men's Basketball Notes
- Saint Leo heads into the weekend after dropping a tough battle with No. 14 Lynn Wednesday, 74-71.
- In the setback, the Lions were led by Kyran McClure's game-high 26 points, where Isaiah Hill and Tyler Carter joined in double-figures with 14 and 13 points, respectively.
- On the year, McClure remains the team leader in scoring per game at 17.8 where Junior Searcy (11.3) and Isaiah Hill (10.7) and next in line. Yalen Reed leads the team in rebounds at 5.2 per game and averages 8.4 ppg.
- No. 7 Nova Southeastern is coming off a 87-58 win over Rollins. Four Sharks scored in double-figures led by Mikkel Kolstad and Nick Smith at 17 points, apiece. Mark Matthews and David Dennis chipped in with 12 and 11, respectively.
- On the year, six Sharks average double-figures led by Mark Matthews at 19.8 and Connor Zinaich at 19.2. Dennis, Kolstad are at 15.3 and 12.3, respectively, where Dwayne Gibson (11.5) and Eddie Puisis (11.0) close out the double-figure scorers.
