SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo men's basketball drops midweek Sunshine State Conference contest against Tampa, 95-74.

Rusty Moorer led the Lions' (12-14, 9-9 SSC) attack with 22 points on 7-of-15 shooting. Moorer added a 6-for-6 mark from the free throw line while he nailed two three-pointers. Moorer finished the night with four rebounds, three assists and one steal.

Gintaras Bartaskas added 15 points off the bench for the Lions on 5-of-10 shooting from downtown.
Isaiah Hill and
Kyran McClure led the Green and Gold with five rebounds.

Tampa (13-12, 7-10 SSC) saw Freddy Ibrahim drop 30 points on 9-of-10 shooting from the field including a 6-of-10 night from downtown. Ibrahim added six free throws to his credit. Devon Colley (17 points), Anthony Gamble (16 points), and Alberto Moreno (14 points) all joined Ibrahim in double-figures.

How It Happened
- Saint Leo started the game off hot, running out to an 8-0 run. Tampa cut it to three, 8-5, before the Lions pushed it back to eight, 13-5. The Spartans would close the gap and eventually take a 14-13 lead with 11:18 to play on a three pointer.
- An Isaiah Hill layup followed by a dunk put the Green and Gold back in front 17-16 where Saint Leo held the lead and extended it to six points, 28-22 with 5:27 to go. A quick 6-0 run tied things up at 28 where the two teams played to a 30-30 tie with 2:40 remaining.
- Trailing by five, Kyran McClure drained a three and drained his and-one opportunity to make it 35-34 at the half.
- Rusty Moorer's three to open the half tied things at 37-37 before the Spartans took a 39-37 lead with 19:08. Tampa charged out and took a lead and never looked back before going on for a 95-74 win.Â
