Saint Leo is set to host the Hampton Inn (Wesley Chapel) Classic in hopes to snap a three-game skid. On Saturday, the Lions were upset by the Spartans in overtime, 72-66, in the Marion Bowman Activities Center. Amanda Ulrich paced the Lions with 18 points followed by Alani Gallagher with 17 points and a team-high six rebounds. Alex Button electrified the night, going 3-for-5 from downtown during a 12-point performance.
Ulrich averages a team-high 14.6 points per game, scoring double digits in the last three appearances, facing Florida Southern, Nova Southeastern, and Tampa. The freshman guard is currently shooting .415-percent from the field, .341-percent from beyond the arch, and .733-percent on the charity stripe.
Button has drained 20 three-pointers in 10 games. The sophomore shooter holds a .523-percent from the field while averaging 13.3 points per game. Gallagher joins Button and Ulrich in double-digits with a 12-point average. On the defensive side of the ball, Gallagher leads the Sunshine State Conference in blocked shots with 12 (1.2 avg/g).

The Redhawks put up a powerful 25-3 fourth quarter to grab the comeback road win. Before facing the Lions on Saturday, Roberts Wesleyan will open the Hampton Inn (Wesley Chapel) Classic against the West Florida Argonauts.
Emily Miller (13.9), Sara Nady (10.1), and Taryn Wilson (9.1) make up the Redhawk's offensive presence. Miller also holds a team-high 8.2 rebounds per game and a season count of 16 steals and 16 blocks.
As a team, Roberts Wesleyan scores 60.0 points per game recording a .366 field goal percentage. Off the rim, the Redhawks pull down 38.5 rebounds per game but give up 18.7 turnovers per game.

In the win, Kyran McClure scored 24 points, which pushed him over 1,000 career points, but Yalen Reed tried to steal the spotlight with a monstrous double-double posting 20 points and hauling in 16 rebounds.
On the year, Kyran McClure is leading the team with 20.9 poiints per game while Yalen Reed is leading the team in rebounding with 7.5.
As a team, the Lions average 75.0 ppg while allowing just 66.7 ppg, ranking 31st in the nation.
Walsh is traveling to the Sunshine State on a two-game win streak following a 70-48 win over Ohio Dominican. In the win, three players scored in double-figures led by Alphonso Baity with 15 points off the bench. Sterling Christy and Christian Montague each added 14 points, apiece.
