DELAND, Fla. – Kristyna Jurkova won the first singles flight at the Stetson Hatter Invitational this weekend. The three-day tournament marked the closing of the Saint Leo women's tennis Fall Individual Season.
 
"This weekend was a great conclusion to our Fall season as we look forward to the Spring," said fourth-year head coach Chad Berryhill. "A lot of players got the opportunity to play against good competition and gain valuable experience. Most played higher in the line-up than usual, so it was great to see how they stepped up. We played all Division I opponents and saw a lot of success. I am very happy with how we finished the Fall and I am looking forward to a very successful Spring with a lot of motivated players."
 
The Lions open the 2020 season on Saturday, Jan. 25 at 10:30 a.m. at the Saint Leo Tennis Center hosting Manatees of the State College of Florida.
