SAINT LEO , Fla. - The Saint Leo University women's tennis team host #13 Rollins on Wednesday. The match came down to final court in a 4-3 loss by the home team. 4-3. The Lions fall to 5-9 on the season and 2-4 in SSC play. The Tars improve to 11-4 overall and 5-1 in conference action.

The Lions battled closely with # 13 Rollins but came up just short in a 4-3 loss.
The Lions secured the doubles point with wins on courts one and three.
Camila Keller and
Deren Ozel earned a 6-4 victory at No. 1, while
Sophia Johnson and
Nicol Novak matched that score at No. 3 to give Saint Leo an early 1-0 advantage.
Rollins responded in singles, taking four of the six courts to edge the match. The Tars picked up wins at No. 1 by forfeit and at No. 2 and No. 4 in straight sets to build their lead.
Saint Leo collected two singles victories to keep the match tight. Keller delivered a win at No. 3, and
Allie Fernandini added a three-set victory at No. 6, opening with a 6-1 first set before closing out the match in the third.
Nicol Novak also pushed her match at No. 5 to three sets before falling in a tight contest.
Despite the strong doubles start and a pair of singles wins, Saint Leo was unable to overcome Rollins' depth as the Tars secured the 4-3 decision.
