LAKELAND, Fla. – Saint Leo closed out the Terrace Hotel Thanksgiving Classic in Streamline Sale Arena at Jenkins Field House Saturday with a dominating performance over New Haven. The Lions bounced back after the set back to no. 7 Valdosta State Friday for an 84-63-win Saturday against the Chargers in the first-ever meeting between the two teams.

Kyran McClure who led Saint Leo (6-2) in scoring as the senior from Concord, N.C. dropped another 30-point night ending the contest with 36 points. McClure shot 63.2-percent (12-19) from the field, including a 50-percent (6-12) mark from downtown and added a 100-percent (6-6) night from the free throw line.

Gintaras Bartaskas joined McClure in double-figures with 14 points off the bench for the Green and Gold.
Isaiah Hill fell one point short of double-digits at nine points while
Rusty Moorer and
Erik Lahm were next in line at eight points on the night; Lahm's eight points sets a career-high through eight games of action in his first season with the Green and Gold.

New Haven (1-4) saw Elijah Bailey score 26 points to lead the Chargers in scoring while Derrick Rowland added in 16 points.

Saint Leo opened up the game on a 10-0 run behind
Kyran McClure who scored all 10 points. The Chargers answered the run with a 16-2 run of their own to make it 16-21 in favor of New Haven. The Lions battled back to tie things at 18 apiece before cruising to a halftime score of 51-35 on a
Kyran McClure three pointer at the buzzer.

New Haven opened the half with five unanswered points before the Lions ripped off 18 straight to make it 69-40. The Lions would continue to dominate adding to their lead, making it a 30-point game, 75-45 with nine minutes to play. The Green and Gold would just coast to the final buzzer going on for the 84-63 win to get back into the win column on the year.
