SAINT LEO, Fla. – Senior
Anilise Fitzi of the Saint Leo volleyball team was named First Team All-Sunshine State Conference the league's office announced on Tuesday. Fitzi adds to her list of career accomplishments after being named to the All-Newcomer team a season ago.

Fitzi marks the first First Team All-Conference honoree for Saint Leo since the 2016 season when Hope Lemon and Jamee Townsend were each named to the First Team.

Fitzi currently leads the team in blocks (129), block assists (111), solo blocks (18) and hitting percentage (.356) while ranking second in total kills (292) and third in service aces (37). The senior ranks fourth in the Sunshine State Conference in hitting percentage, fourth in blocks, 10
th in service aces and 18
th in kills. She also ranks 36
th nationally in hitting percentage and 57
th in blocks per set.

Fitzi and the rest of the Lions will now turn their attention to the NCAA South Region Championship in Boca Raton, Fla. as they face the No. 4 seed Embry-Riddle in the opening round. Â
