FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Two first half goals proved to be enough as the Saint Leo women's soccer team fell on the road to Nova Southeastern at NSU Soccer Complex Saturday night.
The Lions' (5-8-1, 2-5-0 SSC) senior goalie
Julia Ortiz did all she could snagging seven saves between the pipes while facing nine shots on goal from the Sharks (11-2-1, 5-1-1 SSC). The Green and Gold notched six shots on the night with one on frame.
Kennedy Messina paced the Lions in shots with two while there were four others that registered one on the night.
Nova Southeastern notched its first goal of the night in the 22nd minute before adding a second 10-minutes later.
Saint Leo will return to action on Oct. 30 when the Green and Gold return home to face Lynn.
