TAMPA, Fla. – The Saint Leo women's soccer team was upset 2-0 at Tampa Wednesday night in Pepin Stadium. The Sunshine State Conference decision forced the Lions fourth consecutive loss, moving their record to 5-7-1, 2-4 SSC. Meanwhile, the hosts improved their season mark to 4-6-1, 4-2-1 SSC.
The Spartans struck in the 20
th minute as Elena Barr netted her third season goal, assisted by Moeko Morse. Her work handed Tampa a one-goal lead at the half.
The Lions fired five shots at the Spartans' net in the second half but was unable to mark the scoreboard. With four minutes left in regulation, Tampa put the icing on the cake as Jackie Morris recorded her second goal of the season, assisted by Mia Brantley.

Julia Ortiz, collected a pair of saves in the action. Spartan, Lovisa Camel, also grabbed a pair of saves in 53 minutes of work alongside Megan Bromwell who guarded the cage for 37 minutes.
Saint Leo continues to play on the road, traveling to Nova Southeastern on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. during the Sharks' senior night.
