CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Saint Leo junior
Shane Bracken turned in the second-fastest time in program history Friday night at the Royals XC Challenge at McAlpine Creek Park. Bracken took 11
th overall to pace the Green and Gold to a seventh-place finish.

Saint Leo finished seventh out of 57 teams with a total of 271 points. Bracken crossed the line in a time of 24:19.2, 31.2-seconds behind the top overall time in program history which was set in 2016.

Felix Nadeborn came in at 25:04.8, which is the 12
th fastest time in program history, to be second on the team in 40
th place out of the 545 runners on the course.

Tadgh McGinty,
Fabio Fornarello, and
Blake Watson all finished inside the top-five Friday for the Lions. McGinty finished in 65
th (25:29.5), Fornarello crossed as the 104
th runner (25:56.1) while Watson was 114
th (26:03.4).

The Lions concluded the regular season and look forward to the Sunshine State Conference Championships on Oct. 26 at South Country Park in Boca Raton, Fla.
