Women's Basketball Notes
  • The Saint Leo women's basketball team fell 60-55 to Barry on Saturday in the Marion Bowman Activities Center.
  • The Lions saw Olivia Lough break out in the third quarter on her way to a 12-point game. She was joined in double-figures by Casey Wortley with 11 points and Alani Gallagher with 10 respectively. Asia Royster recorded a game-high 11 rebounds along with nine points.
  • On the season, Wortley holds the team-high in rebounds per game with 5.8. Gina Brierley continues to excel on the free throw line with a season percentage of 60-percent.
  • No. 14 Florida Southern picked up their 13th-straight win, 78-61, at Rollins on Saturday.
  • In the win, Anja Fuchs-Robetin scored 28 points and Camille Giardina tacked on 26. Freshman Mackenzie Steele added on nine points off the bench for the Mocs.
  • On the season, Steele has sunk 41-of-97 three-point attempts (42.3-percent). Fuchs-Robetin, the 2018 SSC Player the Year, continues to dominate the inside shooting a 57.1-percent from the floor.
  • The Matchup: Saint Leo averages 58 PPG shy of Florida Southern's 80.5 PPG. The Lions hold a 37.5-field goal percentage while the Mocs beat out the Lions with a 46.6-field goal percentage.
  • Last Meeting: During the 2017-18 season, Florida Southern knocked out Saint Leo out from the first round of Sunshine State Conference Championship, 78-47, after a registering a regular season sweep.

Men's Basketball Notes
  • Saint Leo enters the matchup Wednesday on a four game win streak after knocking off Barry, 82-77 Saturday, Jan. 19 at home. The Lions saw three players score in double-figures while every player that recorded minutes recorded a point in the game. Kyran McClure paced the team with 17 points as Gintaras Bartaskas and Daniel Duarte added 14 points and 12 points off the bench for the Green and Gold.
  • On the year, Kyran McClure continues to lead the team in scoring averaging 15.7 points per game while Junior Searcy is close behind with 11.6 ppg. Yalen Reed and Isaiah Hill are close to the 10-point average at 9.6 and 9.5 ppg, respectively.
  • Florida Southern enters the matchup after a road loss at Rollins, 83-69 behind Ben Marello's 20-point game. Brett Hanson and Slinky Jones chipped in with 17 and 13 points, respectively.
  • On the year, Jonathan Lawton paces the Mocs in scoring with 21.3 ppg where Brett Hanson and Slinky Jones round out the double-digit scorers.
  • The Matchup: Florida Southern, sitting tied for third in the SSC at 6-3, average 79.4 points per game while Saint Leo, sitting tied for fifth at 5-4, averages 73.5 ppg. Defensively, the Lions hold opponents to fewer points, 74.5, while the Mocs allow 76.6 ppg.
  • The Series: In what favors the Lions this season with being the underdog on the road, FSC holds an 89-21 all-time lead against Saint Leo.
