MONTEVALLO, Ala. –
Elias Niesigk's early goal outlasted the Montevallo Falcons in the Saint Leo men's soccer 1-0 victory on Friday.
Saint Leo (2-1) outshot Montevallo (1-2) 15-13 led by
Elias Niesigk's six shots. The Karlstein, Germany product netted the game winner in the 33rd minute. Montevallo and Saint Leo each generated three corner kicks.

Christian Evans snagged two saves, recording his first shut-out for the Green and Gold.
The Lions' road trip continues. Saint Leo will travel to Pensacola, Fla. to face West Florida on Sunday, September 9 at 1:00 p.m. (ET).
