Baseball Notes
- No. 16Â Baseball is currently riding four-game win streak thanks to a three game swept of Eckerd College this past weekend. The Lions were able to earn victories of 8-6, 9-5, and 5-3. For Saint Leo that is their fifth swept of SSC opponents this year.
- Jared Morello leads the team in batting average at .360, and is tied for the team-high in stolen bases (12) with teammate Aaron Portee.
- Peyton Isaacson, Brett Coffel, Zach Scott, and Chase Turner have been the four major run producers in the Lions lineup. The foursome has been dominating the plate with 33 home runs and 165 RBIs on the year.
- Jordan Pendleton leads the team in innings pitched (76), strikeouts (66), while sporting a 6-1 record with a 3.43 ERA.
- Florida Southern dropped its series finale against Nova Southeastern 21-6, after taking the first two games of the series (7-4, 6-5). Home field advantage has been huge for the Mocs as they are currently 20-3 at home.
- The Mocs offense runs through the three-headed monster of Jacob Teter, Hayden Marze, and Cody Burgess. The trio has put together 39 home runs and 146 RBIs.
- The workhorse for the Mocs, Logan Browning, has logged a team-high 78.1 innings pitched going 8-2 over that span. Out of the bullpen, J.T. Hintzen is sporting a team best 10-0 record over 60.1 innings pitched. Browning and Hintzen have a combined 167 punch outs on the year.

- Saint Leo will make a day trip up to Tallahassee to compete in the Seminole Twilight hosted by Florida State University.
- Anthony Deleva finished 10th overall in a field of 27 competitors including several Division I runners at the 52nd Annual Hillsdale College Gina Relays. The senior completed the distance in 32:11.66.
- Colett Rampf of the Saint Leo women's track team competed at the historic Penn Relays Thursday night in Philadelphia, Pa., as she lowered her automatic NCAA qualifying time in the 3,000m steeplechase with a strong performance at one of the most recognized track competitions in the world. The senior completed the distance in 10:10.28 to top her previous season best by over five seconds.
