SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo juniors
Shyanne DuBois and
Ashley Morris were named to the 2018 NCAA Division II Softball Championships All-Tournament Team announced after the conclusion of the tournament Monday, May 28 by the NCAA Softball Committee. DuBois was one of four outfielders named to the All-Tournament team where Morris was one of three infielders named to the team.

At the DII Softball Championships, the Lions went 2-2 with wins over No. 3 Chico State (3-2) and No. 1 North Georgia (3-2). Saint Leo finished the season with a 39-18 record after two losses at the championships in Salem, Va. to Saint Anselm (National Runners-Up) and Southern Indiana (National Champions).

DuBois finished the weekend with a .417 batting average with five hits in four games played with three runs scored and two RBI. The Carisle, Iowa native, went 3-for-5 in stolen bases on the national stage. DuBois' best game of the weekend was a 3-for-3 performance against Saint Anselm, following that up with a 1-for-2 performance against North Georgia. In the first game of the championships, DuBois made a diving grab in left field, which was the first of many, to end the game against Chico State. She finished with nine putouts and no errors for a 1.000-percent fielding percentage.

Morris recorded a hit in all four games including going 2-for-4 in the first game of the weekend against the Wildcats. Morris tallied a .333 batting average with one double and one RBI, while going 1-for-1 in stolen bases. The Leesburg, Ga. native, tallied five putouts, nine assists and just one error for a .933-fielding percentage.
