SAINT LEO, Fla. – Jaime Bueno earned his first Sunshine State Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week of the 2017-18 season on Monday, his third all-time selection.

Bueno generated a stainless 7-0 record during the 4-0 match work week for No.7 Saint Leo, who improved to a 10-0 overall record. Bueno earned a 4-0 no.2 doubles mark with Willem Van Den Akker while producing a no.3 singles record of 3-0.

Bueno and van den Akker duo have racked up a 9-0 season record together. The pair pulled off wins over Wayne State (8-6), No.22 Auburn Montgomery (8-4), No.1 West Florida (8-2) and Georgia College (8-5) this week.

Filling the Lions' no.3 singles slot, Bueno handed in victories against Wayne State (6-0, 6-1), No.22 Auburn Montgomery (6-1, 6-2) and No.1 West Florida (6-3, 7-5). On Sunday, Saint Leo and Georgia College agreed to a "clinch" match, Bueno's match was left unfinished as the Lions quickly topped the Bobcats 5-1.
