Women's Basketball Notes

Saint Leo hosted Trinity for the 2017 Homecoming exhibition game and invited the Tigers back for regular season action in 2018-19.
Casey Wortley earned a double-double scoring a career-high 24 points, along with 10 rebounds in the Lions' 50-45 win at PBA on Saturday. Wortley averaged 14.5 points in the first week of action in the Sunshine State Conference. She shot 47% from the field going 10-for-21, 58% in three-pointers, knocking down 7-of-12. Off the window, the 6-3 forward brought down 13 rebounds. In the paint, she posted four blocks, moving her season count to 11, the second highest in the SSC. She added a pair of assists and steals to her week's performance. Wortley enters the game as the team's leading scorer averaging 12.8 PPG.
Gina Brierley steps onto the court averaging 9.9 PPG shooting 39% from the field. She has racked up 24 assists after six games.
Alani Gallagher leads the Green & Gold in rebounding, averaging 6.9 RPG.
Trinity's scoring is led by Markenesja Hardy averaging 21.5 PPG tallying 236 points in 11 games. Hardy enters the game shooing 35 FG%, 28 3FG%, 75 FT%. She has earned 21 steals, 19 assists and two blocks. Off the glass, she averages 3.3 RPG.
Shonteria Blanks and Kayla Rondeau each average six RPG as the team's leading rebounders.
Larissa Roker has connected for 23 assists and earned 20 steals for the Tigers.
