Women's Basketball Notes
- Saint Leo topped Webber International 62-53 on Friday. The Lions were led by Casey Wortley with 19 points, nine rebounds. Her work off the window allowed the Green & Gold to out-rebound the Warriors 45-36. Gina Brierley helped with nine points, 10 rebounds and three steals.
- On the season, Wortley averages 13.6 PPG, 6.0 RPG, shooting a 48-percent from the field. Brierley averages 9.8 PPG, shooting a 37- field goal percent while accumulating 39 assists.
- Alani Gallagher leads the Green & Gold season rebounding efforts with 6.1 RPG.
- As a team, Saint Leo averages 61.78 PPG, 35.3 RPG entering the tournament.
- Johnson C. Smith suffered a 78-75 loss to Glenville State College on Saturday to snap a two-game win streak. Denajah Porter earned a double-double recording 13 points, 14 rebounds while Blaire Thomas scored 18 points.
- On the season, Teana Lewis leads the Bull's scoring with 9.1 PPG followed by Malia Rivers with 8.3 PPG. As a team, the Bulls average 60 PPG and 44.4 RPG.
- Last Meeting: The Bulls and Lions haven't met since Dec. 21, 2014. The Saint Leo second half coming back attempt fell short, as Johnson C. Smith clinched a 59-54 win over the Green & Gold.
- Shaw looks to snap a three-game losing skid. The Bears fell 86-58 to Elizabeth City State on Thursday. Despite the loss, KlinTisha Martin scored 20 points for the Bears, beating her season average of 17.6 PPG.
- On the season, Tahniya Sweat leads the Bear's scoring averaging 18.1 PPG. Macy Keen leads Shaw off the glass, grabbing 9.7 RPG. As a team, Shaw averages 71.9 PPG, 39.9 RPG. Â
- Last Meeting: Shaw and Saint Leo met last year at the Lynn University Holiday Classic on Dec. 17, 2017. The Lions defeated the Bears 81-57.

Men's Basketball Notes
- Saint Leo will look to pick up a pair of wins as they jump out of conference play to compete in the Mocs Christmas Classic. The Lions fell just short against No. 9/14 Nova Southeastern 91-89.. Daniel Duarte paced the Green and Gold with 21 points, ahead of Yalen Reed at 20 and Kyran McClure at 18. Duarte went 7-13 from the field, while shooting 50% from downtown (3-6). He also added four points from the free throw line (4-5).
- On the year, McClure leads the team in scoring at 14.6 points per game (ppg) with 131 total points on his junior campaign. Searcy is second to McClure at 11.7 ppg ahead of Reed's 11.2. Searcy leads in rebounding, averaging 4.9 per game with 44 total on the season. Isaiah Hill and McClure are tied for the team lead in steals with 10, with Reed leading the blocking category at 16 total on the year. McClure has dished out a team-high 29 assists to date leading the Lions.Â
- Bloomfield comes into play on a two-game win streak, while also winning four out of their last five contests. The Bears held off conference opponent Nyack 77-74 at home this past Saturday. Kavione Green lead the way with 16 points and seven rebounds to go along with his five steals.Â
- The Bears have a very balanced attack as they have six players averaging double figures this season. Green leads the way averaging 18.1 points per game. He is also the team leader in total rebounds at 73 (9.1 per game).
- Cedarville heads south looking to stay hot as they are currently on a four-game win streak. The Yellow Jackets held off Tiffin 91-89 as they were lead by Connor TenHove with 28 points going 10-17 from the floor. Grant Zawadzki posted a double-double with 10 points and 10 assists in the win.
- The Yellow Jackets come in averaging 81.3 points per game and are outscoring their opponents by 7.9 points. Connor TenHove leads the way in points and rebounds with 16.9 points per game and 6.8 rebounds per game
