SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo volleyball team closed out the 2018 regular season Saturday night with a 3-0 sweep of Rollins College inside the Marion Bowman Activities Center. The Lions honored their two seniors prior to the match before jumping all over the Tars in route to a dominating victory.

Dallas Jasper and
Reggie Van Devender were honored during a pregame ceremony and both went on to play significant roles in the win. Jasper tied for the team lead with 10 kills in the victory including putting down the winning kills in both the first and second sets. The Annapolis, Md. Native finished with a .412 hitting percentage in the win. Van Devender led the Lions with 15 digs on the defensive side. She was the lone Lion to reach double-figures in digs and also added four assists.

Victoria Omoregie and sophomore
Ashley Quero joined Jasper with 10 kills each. Omoregie added three blocks while Quero had four digs. Freshman setter
Cassandra Kamien dished out 40 assists over the three sets and also had two service aces and eight digs.

The Lions limited Rollins' offensive chances as the Tars hit .091 as a team and committed 18 hitting errors. The Lions tallied a .294 hitting percentage and out-dug the Tars 50-39.

Rollins was led by Rachel Fletcher who finished with seven kills.

The Lions will now await the announcement of the 2018 NCAA Championship field which will be announced live during the NCAA selection show at 10 p.m. tomorrow night. The Lions are hosting a watch party at the Student Community Center inside the boardrooms on campus tomorrow night at 10 p.m. Â
