SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo softball will host the University of Florida and take on South Florida to gear up for the 2019 slate, in which the Lions look to repeat success and earn another trip to the NCAA Division II Softball Championships. The Lions will compete in 13 series over the season, aside from two season opening tournaments, seven of which will be at home.

The Lions, who finished as national semifinalists in 2018, will host the Florida Gators on Oct. 7 at 3 p.m. before taking on the Bulls of South Florida on Oct. 19 in Tampa for fall competition.

Saint Leo will officially open its 2019 season up with three days of action at the Gulf Coast Invitational in Gulf Shores, Ala., followed by three days of play at the NFCA Leadoff Classic in Clearwater, Fla.

The Sunshine State Conference portion of the Green and Gold's schedule is slated to start Feb. 15-16 when the Lions travel to Palm Beach Atlantic.

Saint Leo welcomes Rollins to University Softball Stadium to open the home slate on Feb. 22-23. Following the Tars at University Softball Stadium, the Lions host Tiffin (March 6), Embry-Riddle (March 8-9), Caldwell (March 13), Eckerd (March 23), Barry (April 12-13) and Tampa (April 25-26).
