Men's soccer hosts Florida National as lone midweek contest

Saint Leo welcomes Florida National to University Campus for a 7 p.m. contest where the Lions are 0-2 after dropping games to No. 1 Wingate, 4-2, and Lees-McRae, 3-1, to open the season. The Conquistadors hold a 5-0-1 record with games spread across the NCAA Division I and III levels with games against NJCAA opponents. FNU tied with Florida Gulf Coast 1-1 in an exhibition game on Aug. 20.
The Lions were tied 2-2 with the Bulldogs in Friday's season opener before two second half goals lifted the no. 1 team in the nation past Saint Leo. Yuga Yanagisawa scored on a penalty kick in the 34 minute cutting the game to 2-1 before Tyler Palmer scored his first career goal on a failed clear and beat the keeper to tie things at 2-2.
A short turn around pinched the Lions as they fell behind 2-1 in the first half to Bobcats. Lees-McRae kicked in another goal in the second half to secure their 3-1 victory. Bryce Wilson scored the lone goal for the Lions in the 39^th minute.
FLORIDA NATIONAL most recently defeated Ave Maria (Fla.) 5-0 on Sept. 4 where previous to that they beat up the Beavers of Penn State 11-0 on Sept. 1
