Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

74th minute goal lifts the Tigers over women's soccer 1-0 Sunday

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Seventy-four minutes of action between Saint Leo women's soccer and West Alabama at Signaigo Field on the campus of Christian Brothers University before the ball found the back of the net. The Tigers defeated the Lions 1-0.

Despite falling 1-0, Saint Leo (1-1) outshot West Alabama 13-8 with six shots on frame. The Lions earned four corners to zero for the Tigers. Sophomore Julia Ortiz got the nod between the posts and recorded one save on eight shots faced. Senior Lindsey Perkins led the charge up front with four shots.
Both teams were card free for the full 90 minutes where Saint Leo committed 12 fouls compared to West Alabama's five.
