Volleyball Notes
- The Lions head to Tampa to make up a match that was originally scheduled for Sept. 16, where both teams enter at 1-1 in the Sunshine State Conference
- Saint Leo posted a 2-1 week with a 3-0 sweep of Flagler on Sept. 19, before opening SSC play with a 3-1 win over Rollins at home on Sept. 22. The Lions fell in three straight sets to No. 4 Palm Beach Atlantic on Sept. 23.
- Sophomore Anna Garrett was named SSC Setter of the Week for the second time this season after posting 108 assists on the week at 10.8 per set. Garrett tallied 30-plus assists in each of the Lions' three matches and finished the weekend with 23 digs and six kills. Garrett notched her first double-double of the season with a season-high 47 assists and 10 digs against Rollins Friday night.
- On the year, freshman Ashley Quero leads the team in kills with 71 in 22 sets played. Garrett leads the Lions in assists with 243 where she is second in the SSC in assists per set with 10.57. Jenya Kruglova enters the Tuesday match two digs shy of 100 this season where she leads the team in total digs and 4.26 per set.
- AVCA Ranking: Saint Leo climbed one spot to No. 20 in the latest AVCA top 25 Coaches Poll, released Monday, Sept. 25 by the AVCA.
- Tampa comes into the match after a 3-0 sweep of Lynn on Sept. 23, which snapped a six-match skid for the Spartans.
- Nicole Dominguez and Nylah Demps lead the Spartans in kills with 78 and 71, respectively. Three Spartans have eclipsed 100 assist on the year in Jen Aprile (122), Sammy Mueller (117) and Melissa Elisa (104). Dominguez leads the Spartans in digs as well with 92 total and 2.79 per set.
