VALDOSTA, Ga. – Saint Leo junior Thomas Grinberg captured the men's singles championship during Monday's championship matches at the ITA South Region Championship at Valdosta State University.

Grinberg, the 2017 ITA South Region Rookie of the Year, defeated West Florida's Serdar Bojadjiev, 6-4, 2-6, 11-9, in the championship match. He is the second Saint Leo men's tennis player to capture ITA South Region singles honors, joining Alberto Barroso-Campos who accomplished the feat in 2015 as a freshman.
