SAINT LEO, Fla. – Two late goals by Florida Southern allowed the Moccasins to slither past the Saint Leo women's soccer team Saturday night at Unviersity Soccer Field.
The Lions scored in the 27
th minute and fended off the Mocs for all but the final minute of regulation where Florida Southern poked one in, in the 89
th minute. Seven minutes into the first overtime, the Mocs found the back of the net again to walk out of Saint Leo with their first Sunshine State Conference win of the year.

Covas cut back and found Roise Young in the middle of the field who then fed the ball through the defense gap and found Covas who then ripped it to the opposite side wall of the goal to push the Lions ahead in the first half. | Saint Leo 1-0 |

Points to Note
- Saint Leo scored early and held onto a 1-0 lead for 61 minutes, one minute shy of a 1-0 shutout before falling to the Moccasins 2-1 in overtime.
- The loss broke the Lions three game win streak over the Mocs, where the last loss to Florida Southern was in the 2013 season.
- Keeper Julia Ortiz tallied two saves on 12 shots faced from the Mocs.
