SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo women's soccer staged a second half surge against Florida Tech but came up short in the closing minutes of a Sunshine State Conference matchup, 4-2, at University Soccer Field.
The Lions scored two second half goals to close within one goal with 11 minutes to play but allowed another goal a minute later to fall to the Panthers. Saint Leo falls to 2-4, 1-3 SSC after the setback to Florida Tech (5-2-1, 2-1-0 SSC).
Victoria Covas and
Payton Ruehling notched goals in the loss on balls played from
Rosie Young and
Brooke Snoll, respectively.
