Women's Basketball Notes
  • The Lions host the non-conference Tuesday night game coming off a 54-46 win on the road at Palm Beach Atlantic on Saturday, December 2, snapping a 5-game skid. Ave Maria holds a perfect 10-game streak among its NAIA opponents, 4-0 in The Sun Conference.
  • Saint Leo's Ragen Dotson is coming off an 18-point game at Palm Beach Atlantic. She enters the contest leading the Lions offensive averaging 11.4 points per game, shooting 34.1% from the field, 42.1% from three-point range. Off the glass, Dotson averages 3.9 rebounds per game.
  • Nikira Hooks leads the Lions rebounding presence with 5.5 grabs per game.
  • Lauren Gillingham and Sarah Miller enter the game averaging a double double for the Gyrenes. Gillingham, shooting 37.7% from the field, averages 14.3 points per game, 10.2 rebounds per game, along with 5.6 assists per game. Miller, shooting 63.6% from the field, averages 13.8 points per game, 10.5 rebounds per game.
  • Around the circle, Kaite Houbolt has tallied 18 three-pointers, shooting 40.9% from downtown. Jasmine Bateman has sunk 13 threes while teammate Taylor Allen has posted 12.

Men's Basketball Notes
  • Saint Leo enters the non-conference action Wednesday with a 6-6 record and having most recently dropped its first Sunshine State Conference game of the season, at Palm Beach Atlantic, 74-68.
  • DeAndre King paced the Lions with a career-high 23 points against the Sailfish on 9-of-16 shooting from the field, including a 4-for-9 performance from beyond the arc. King added six rebounds, three assists and two steals on the day.
  • Drago Popovic and Tyreece Brice both chipped in with double-digit points as Popovic scored 12 points and Brice 10. Brice led the team in rebounding with nine where he added six assists and three steals to his stat line.
  • On the year, the Lions are led by Isaiah Hill who averages a team-best 12.0 points per game. DeAndre King and Junior Searcy are close on his heels with 11.9 ppg, while Tyreece Brice is fourth on the team at 11.8 ppg.
  • Hill leads the team in rebounding as well with 5.4 rebounds per game, where he trails just Brice in assists per game with 3.2 to 4.9, respectively. The Duo are one and two in steals with Hill at 29 and Brice at 22.
  • Brice enters the week with 956 points in his Green and Gold career, seeking just 44 to his 1,000th.
  • EDWARD WATERS enters with a 4-6 record after its win over Middle Georgia State on Nov. 27. The Tigers traveled to Deland, Fla. to take on Stetson on Dec. 1 for an exhibition game where the Hatters won 85-52.
  • Charles-Eddie Smith leads the Tigers in scoring with 12.1 points per game. Rasaad Morgan and Omar Banaga are second on the team with 10.5 ppg. Morgan averages 9.9 rebounds per game to lead the team where he has 19 blocks on the season as well.
