Women's Basketball Notes
  • Saturday marks the return to Sunshine State Conference play for both programs.
  • Ragen Dotson tied her career-high, showcasing a 30-point performance in Saint Leo's 74-50 win over Coastal Georgia, which pushed the Lions' win streak to six games. Dotson leads the Lions season scoring, averaging 13.5 points per game shooting .380 percent from the field, .444 percent beyond the arch, .867 percent on the free throw line.
  • Alani Gallagher posted her career-high, 26-points, in Saint Leo's 72-70 win over Johnson & Wales.
  • Gallagher and Nikira Hooks fill the Lions presence inside the paint. Hooks averages 5.4 rebounds per game helped by Gallagher averaging 5.1 rebounds per game.
  • Lynn visits the Bowman Center coming off two straight wins after picking up a 59-55 decision over Shaw on Monday, Dec. 18. Jaylen Snipes led scoring on Monday with 16 points supported by Barbora Zilkova with 12. Mariah Penascino dominated play off the glass with 14 rebounds.
  • On the season, Paola Vazques Concepcion leads the Fighting Knights offense, averaging 16.7 points per game shooting .418 percent (66-158). In addition to her attack, she has tallied 34 steals and 24 assists. The Fighting Knights paint presence is led by Janay Williams and Kelsi Fizer averaging 5.2 rebounds with help from Juju Uloma averaging 5.1 per game.

Men's Basketball Notes
  • Saint Leo enters the final two days of December with a 7-8 record after dropping a 75-58 decision to Thomas (Ga.) on Dec. 19. The Lions went ice cold from the floor where the Green and Gold shot just 9-percent (2-21) from downtown, looking to turn it around.
  • The Lions will welcome in Lynn and look to pick up their fourth SSC win on Dec. 30th at 4 pm before taking on Southern New Hampshire on Dec. 31 at 2 pm to close out the non-conference portion of the 2017-18 schedule.
  •  In the loss to Thomas, The Lions saw Drago Popovic and Isaiah Hill lead the team in scoring with 11 points where Tyreece Brice added 10 points off the bench for the Green and Gold.
  • On the year, four Lions average double-figures where DeAndre King holds a slight edge with 12.1 points per game. Junior Searcy is a close second at 12.0 ppg followed by Hill at 11.3 ppg and Brice at 10.7 ppg. Hill leads the team in rebounding with a 5.3 rebounds per game average and holds a team high 40 steals and 15 blocks. Brice paces the team with 70 assists. Brice and Hill average over three assists per game at 4.7 and 3.3, respectively.
  • Behind Hill's team-high 40 steals, the Lions are the sixth ranked program in NCAA Division II with 126 total.
  • Tyreece Brice, who enters the final weekend of December with 976 total points scored in his three-year Saint Leo career, is seeking his 1,000th before the New Year.
  • Lynn enters the final Saturday in December with a 4-6 record and a 1-3 mark in the SSC. The Fighting Knights are coming in off a 72-67 loss to Miles on Dec. 19. In the five-point loss, the Fighting Knights were led by Ryan Peterson who notched a team-high 17 points on 7-of-15 shooting from the field.
  • On the year, Peterson trails Randy Bell in the team lead for scoring as Bell averages 13.2 points per game. Peterson stands at 12.0 where Jamal Palmer is at 11.8 ppg. Rasheed Worrell leads Lynn in rebounding with 7.3 boards a game.

Men's Basketball Notes
  • The Southern New Hampshire Penmen enter Sunday's contest with a 9-1 record heading into the Florida trip where Southern New Hampshire will take on Florida Southern on Dec. 30 at 4 p.m.
  • SNHU dropped its first game of the season to Stonehill on Dec. 9, 107-98 where the Penmen enter with one win over a top-25 opponent, then-no. 24 Merrimack on Nov. 21, 84-79.
  • On the year, the Penmen see three players average double-figures led by Christ Walters' 24.6 points per game. Daquaise Andrews is a close second at 20.3 ppg where Dimitri Floras rounds out the double-digits with 16.8 ppg. Walters and Andrews almost average double-doubles as Walters leads the team in rebounding with 9.1 per game where Andrews stands at 8.6 rpg.
