Women's Basketball Notes
  • The Sailfish host the Lions attempting to snap a two-game losing streak after Wednesday's 94-67 SSC loss at Barry. Saint Leo is looking to end a five-game skid. Both programs are in search for its first SSC victory.  
  • Ragen Dotson continues to lead Saint Leo's offense shooting 31.5% from the field, 38.7% in three-pointers, 88.2% on the charity stripe, scoring 10.4 points per game. Off the glass she averages 3.6 rebounds per game and has tallied 11 blocks, 7 steals this season.
  • Nikira Hooks is the Lions big presence inside averaging 5.3 rebounds per game, shooting 39.0%. Hooks enters the game with five blocks, 10 steals on the season.
  • In Wednesday's contest against Tampa, Izabell Skoogh tallied two three-pointers and three buckets for an 8-point day against the Spartans.
  • PBA's offense is led by Hannah Grim shooting 34.6% from the field, 28.6% in three-point attempts, sinking eight on the season. On the line, she is 49-68 (72.1%) and averages 6.6 rebounds per game. 7 games in, she has earned 16 steals.
  • Ciara Cumbie leads the Sailfish in their rebounding game, averaging 8.9 per game. She enters the game going 24-50 on the field (48.0%), 15-18 in free throws (83.3%).
  • Tyler Davis and Mina Salhia have proved to be a threat on the outside; Davis with 8 three-pointers averaging 9.3 points per game, Mina with 9 three-pointers averaging 8.6 points per game.

Men's Basketball Notes
  • Saint Leo looks to continue rolling in conference play, standing at 3-0 in the SSC with a 6-5 overall record. The Lions are 1-1 in road games with a 1-0 mark in SSC road contests after defeating Embry-Riddle inside the ICI Center on Nov. 18, 82-78.
  • In their most recent outing, the Lions defeated Tampa 68-64 on Nov. 29 behind 18 points from Junior Searcy. Searcy led the Lions in scoring while adding seven rebounds, four blocks, three assists and two steals.
  • Isaiah Hill and Tyreece Brice were second and third, respectively, in scoring with 13 and 12 points for the Green and Gold. Brice added six assists while Hill added four rebounds and four steals.
  • Junior Searcy moved into first on the team in scoring through 11 games averaging 12.6 points per game. Isaiah Hill is close on his heels with 12.4 ppg while Tyreece Brice and DeAndre King are third and fourth at 11.9 and 11.3, respectively. Hill leads the team in rebounding with 5.4 per game, 59 on the season.
  • PBA enters the weekend on a three-game skid after its most recent loss to #11/12 Barry 85-74 on Nov. 29. Palm Beach Atlantic stands at 4-5 and 1-2 in SSC play heading into Saturday's home contest.
  • The Sailfish were led by Bakari Warthen who scored 26 points on a 9-15 performance from the field. Warthen added a 5-8 mark from downtown. De'Ondre Jackson looked to help Warthen, adding 19 points in the loss to the Buccaneers.
  • On the year, Grant Cullett, De'Ondre Jackson and Jules Jasmin pace the team in scoring, all averaging double-figures. Cullett is the team leader with a 13.4 points per game average, ahead of Jackson's 13.0 and Jasmin's 12.1. Cullett is second on the team in rebounds per game, 5.6, trailing just Lucas Morales' 6.8 rpg.
  • SSC STANDINGS: Saint Leo is tied for first in the SSC with a 3-0 record while Palm Beach Atlantic is tied for sixth. PBA is fifth in scoring offense with 84.8 ppg to the Lions 72.9 ppg, for 11th. Saint Leo is fourth in scoring defense, holding opponents to 74.8 ppg as the Sailfish are sixth at 78.8.
