Volleyball Notes
- After taking down then-no. 3 Palm Beach Atlantic in five sets, Saint Leo volleyball reentered the AVCA top 25 at No. 24. The Lions posted a 3-0 week last week, to continue their win streak with a 3-1 win over Tampa (Oct. 24), 3-2 win over PBA (Oct. 27) and a 3-0 sweep of Rollins (Oct. 28). The win over Tampa and Rollins allowed the Green and Gold to complete the season sweep of the Spartans and Tars, where the win over PBA was the first in program history.
- Following their performance on the court for the Lions, Anna Garrett, Victoria Omoregie, and Jenya Kruglova were honored by the Sunshine State Conference with a clean sweep of the weekly awards. Garrett earned her third SSC Setter of the Week, as Kruglova picked up her second SSC Defensive Player of the Week. The Offensive Player of the Week honor for Omoregie was the first of the season.
- Omoregie and Ashley Quero are battling at the top of the team leaderboard for most kills on the team with 205 and 204, respectively. Britt Sederholm, Dallas Jasper, and Annabella Arcari join Omoregie and Quero with over 100 kills on the season with 152, 141, 101, respectively.
- Garrett leads the team in assists with 751, where she stands at 1,445 assists in her two-year career for the Green and Gold. Jenya Kruglova leads five players in over 100 digs with 354 on the season. Dallas Jasper leads the team in blocks with 66 total where she has racked up 11 solo blocks and 55 assists.
- Nova Southeastern is led by Denvyr Tyler-Palmer with 365 kills on 1,073 attempts. Samantha Blasko and Nicole Rivera share duties setting where Blasko leads the way with 398 assists, ahead of Rivera's 256. On the defensive side, Megan Burns is the team leader in digs with 382 where Jane Early is the leader in blocks with 67 total.
- Barry enters the weekend at 9-9, 5-8 SSC when the Buccaneers travel to Eckerd Friday. On the year, Kristina Filimonova is the team leader in kills with 196, one ahead of Jaeda Allen at 195. Three Bucs have eclipsed the 100 assist mark for the season with Juliana Tirabassi leading the way with 405 assists. Tirabassi is the team leader in digs as well, with 184 as Filimonova is the team leader in blocks with 76 total blocks on the season.

- #20 SAINT LEO vs Barry - Sept. 29 | SLU def. BU 3-1 (25-21, 26-24, 20-25, 25-18): Saint Leo took the first two sets before dropping the third to the Buccaneers. In the match, Ashley Quero led the Lions with 15 kills where Victoria Omoregie added 12 and Britt Sederholm 10. Anna Garrett tallied 42 assists where Sederholm capped her double-double with 11 digs, tied for the team lead with Jenya Kruglova. The Bucs were led by Jaeda Allen who recorded 17 kills on the night with Juliana Tirabassi leading the way with 27 assists.
- #20 SAINT LEO vs NSU - Sept. 30 | SLU def. NSU 3-0 (25-16, 25-15, 25-13): Despite the Lions sweeping the Sharks, no Lions recorded double-digit kills on the night. Britt Sederholm came the closest with nine kills, where she was the one kill shy of a double-double, posting 10 digs in the three set sweep. Anna Garrett led the team with 21 assists as Jenya Kruglova scooped up 12 digs. Denvyr Tyler-Palmer paced the Sharks with nine kills as Nicole Rivera and Megan Burns were the lone players in double-digit digs with 12 and 10, respectively.

- Saint Leo men's and women's swimming continue their 2017-18 season on Friday, Nov. 3, when they travel to Winter Park, Fla., to take on Rollins College.
- The Lions will be trying to solidify their mid-season invitational lineup in preparation for the upcoming Florida Tech Panther Invitational (November 17-20), the University of Tampa Spartan Invitational (December 15-18), and the Tampa Relays (January 6). Saint Leo's next dual meet after Rollins will be at Florida Southern on January 19, 2018.
- The event lineup for the meet will be as follows: 200 medley relay, 1000 freestyle, 200 freestyle, 100 backstroke, 100 breaststroke, 200 butterfly, 50 freestyle, 15-minute break, 100 freestyle, 200 backstroke, 200 breaststroke, 500 freestyle, 100 butterfly, 15-minute break, 200 individual medley, 400 free relay
