No. 23 Volleyball Notes
- Saint Leo enters the midweek contest after posting a 2-0 week with back-to-back 3-2 wins over Eckerd (Nov. 7) at Lynn (Nov. 9). Britt Sederholm paced the Lions on the week with 31 kills, 42 digs and two double-doubles. Sederholm's two double-doubles were her eighth and ninth double-doubles of the season. Joining Sederholm in the double-double category was Anna Garrett, who notched her 10th double-double of the season with a 52-14 performance against Eckerd.
- Garrett's 52 assists and her 49 against Lynn pushed her into 6th All-Time in career assists in Saint Leo volleyball history. On the year, Garrett leads the team with 947 assists. Sederholm is third on the team in kills, 183, and is third in digs with 237.
- Ashley Quero and Victoria Omoregie lead the way in kills with 255 and 241, respectively. Jenya Kruglova is the team leader in digs with 448.
- The Moccasins enter the weekday contest on a 15-match win streak dating back to Sept. 30 when Florida Southern lost 3-0 to then-no. 4 Palm Beach Atlantic.
- Since the loss, FSC has ripped off 15 straight and even defeated then-no. 6 PBA on Nov. 3, 3-0. In the last four matches, the Mocs have dropped just one set, against Rollins on Nov. 4.
- Nicole Mattson leads the Mocs on the season with 419 kills while the outside has added 321 digs, for third place on the team. Gabby Fresh paces Florida Southern in digs with 400 as Bethany Besancenez is the team leader in assists with 1,192 on the year.

- #19 SAINT LEO vs FLORIDA SOUTHERN - Oct. 10 | FSC def. SLU 3-2 (25-18, 23-25, 25-19, 17-25, 15-12): Despite falling behind 2-1 after three sets, Saint Leo came back and took the fourth 25-17 to force a fifth set. The Lions fought hard but the Moccasins prevailed and took the final set by three, 15-12. Britt Sederholm and Anna Garrett led the Lions with double-doubles as Sederholm landed 12 kills and scooped up 21 digs, with Garrett dishing out 38 assists and picking up 12 digs. The Mocs received three double-doubles as Bethany Besancenez paced FSC out of the middle with 52 assists and 23 digs while Anna Tovo and Nicole Mattson got theirs with kills and digs. Tovo notched 18 kills and had 22 digs as Mattson finished at 17 and 18, respectively.

Women's Basketball Notes
- Women's basketball went 1-1 at the GSC/SSC Challenge in Cleveland, Tenn. Saint Leo fell to Lee University 84-53 but recovered in electrifying fashion in a 62-61 decision over Shorter University off a buzzer beater three pointer by Montia Moon.
- Senior co-captain, Ragen Dotson, averaged 14.5 points per game with season high 21-points against Shorter. Dotson converted the awarded technical foul free throws, sparking the comeback. She found Montia Moon in the corner pocket, assisting the game-winning bucket.
- Sophomore co-captain, Gina Brierley, opened the season with a 16-point performance while facing Lee. During the week, she averaged 11 points per game shooting 57.1% from the field and averaged 4.0 rebounds per game.
- Last Faced: February 1, 2017 in Saint Leo, Fla. (Bowman Center). During the 2016-2017 season the Mocs swept the Lions (72-54, 74-61). Four Lions led offensive efforts in Feb. 1 13-point loss: Ragen Dotson (10), Chelsy Springs (10), Madelin Lang (11), Asia Royser (14)
- Florida Southern went 1-1 in the GSC/SSC Challenge after facing Shorter (77-63) and Lee (70-68).
- Flordia Southern's Anja Fuchs-Robetin featured back-to-back double double performances at the GSC/SSC Challenge. For her work, she was named SSC women's basketball player of the week. Fuchs-Robetin averaged 15.5 PPG, 11.1 RPG as the Mics went 1-1 against Lee & Shorter

Men's Basketball Notes
- Saint Leo men's basketball went 1-1 on the weekend after falling to Ala.-Huntsville 82-80 in the final seconds of their weekend opener at the GSC vs SSC Challenge. The Lions bounced back and defeated their GSC counterpart 82-77.
- In the loss to the Chargers, Isaiah Hill recorded his first double-double in the Green and Gold with 11 points and 11 rebounds as DeAndre King added 20 points for the Lions.
- In the win over the Lions from North Alabama, Saint Leo saw King lead the team in scoring with 21 points.
- On the year, Hill and King lead the team in scoring with 13.4 points per game (ppg) and 11.4 ppg, respectively. Hill leads the team in rebounding with 29 total boards, 5.8 rebounds per game, with 24 defensive boards. Tyreece Brice paces the team in assists with 22 through five games. In his first season at Saint Leo, Hill leads the team in steals (12) through five games and blocks (4), while he trails Brice in assists by three (17).
- Florida Southern enters Wednesday's matchup with a 1-1 record and are coming off a 75-67 defeat of No. 25 Delta State on Nov. 11 in Cleveland, Mississippi. The Mocs fell to West Alabama, 85-78, in the season opener before the eight point upset over Delta State.
- Jonathan Lawton, Jack Rauch and Tyler Ross lead the Mocs on the young season, all averaging double-figures in scoring. Lawton leads the way with 20.5 points per game (ppg), as Rauch is second at 16.5 ppg and Ross, 10.5 ppg.
- Rauch is the team leader in assists with 9.0 rebounds per game as Ross is close on his heels with 8.5 rpg
