SAINT LEO, Fla. – After a two hour delay from the original scheduled time, a goal from freshman
Angelina Troche in the 54th minute would serve as the game winner as Saint Leo women's soccer defeated Lynn 1-0 Saturday night at University Soccer Field.
Freshman
Jelani Ashley would get credit for the assist after serving in a ball to the back of the Fighting Knights' box where Troche trapped it and found the back of the net for what would go on as the game winner. The Lions snapped a three-game skid with the win.
The two teams would play a scoreless first half where Lynn led in shots 4-3 at the break. The Lions won the corner kick battle 3-2 where the Fighting Knights finished off the Lions 12-9 in shots.
