SAINT LEO, Fla. – On senior night, leave it to the senior from Orlando,
Victoria Covas to help Saint Leo past Rollins in double-overtime. Covas' seven shots and speed up top for the Lions allowed for the Green and Gold to prevail 2-1 in the two overtime periods.
Covas ripped a shot after a ball was played over the top before the keeper batted it away allowing for
Angelina Troche to clean up the mess and score early in the game. It was Covas again in the second overtime beating a defender and putting it past the keeper with five minutes remaining.
Seven shots, four on frame and a goal later, Covas closed out her performance at University Soccer Field in memorable fashion, the game-winner.
Senior
Megan Charlton picked up 14 saves on the night on 19 shots from the Tars. The Kent, Wash. native, allowed the one goal in the 67
th minute.
