SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo women's swimmers posted a pair of NCAA "B" qualifying times on their way to a 156-106 win over visiting Lynn University, Saturday afternoon at the Marion Bowman Aquatic Center.
Freshman Cecilie Holten set a "B" qualifying time in the 100 Breaststroke, winning the event with a time of 1:04.46. Sophomore Annie Lindstrom also hit the "B" qualifying time in the 50 Freestyle with her winning mark of 24.04 seconds.
Altogether, Saint Leo won nine of the meet's 14 events, including both relays. The Lions posted a first place time of 1:46.13 in the 200 Medley Relay with the team of Natalia Garriock, Holten, Lindstrom, and Karolina Dyrda, and then closed the meet with a win in the 400 Free Relay with the team of Garriock, Dyrda, Lindstrom, and Mattie Shaver clocking 3:30.80.
Both the Saint Leo men's and women's swim teams will return to competition on Friday, Nov. 3, when they travel to Winter Park, Fla., to face Rollins College at 3:00 p.m.
