Box Score 2 SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo baseball pounded out 22 runs on 27 hits to sweep a South Region doubleheader against Albany State (Ga.), Saturday night at Thomas B. Southard Stadium. The Lions took the early game, 8-3, and capped the day with a 14-0 shutout in game two.
In game one, Saint Leo starter Andrew Cohen fanned six of 24 batters faced while scattering three hits to claim the win.
After a pair of Albany State (0-12) runs in the first on two wild pitches, a hit, an error, and a hit-by-pitch, Saint Leo (5-5) rallied with one run in the first and another in the second. The Lions plated two runs in the third on Troy Sieber's first home run of the season, a mammoth shot to right field, and Shane Williams' RBI singler through the right side of the infield to score Alex Mata.
A four-run fifth inning for the Lions, keyed by Lance Stancil's two-run single into center field, left Saint Leo in control of the game.

Mike Mann doubled home Lane Stancil and Derek Gibree, both of whom got aboard with singles. Sieber scored later in the frame on a wild pitch.
With the score 8-0 in the eighth inning, Saint Leo tacked on six more runs. Daley drove in two runs on a single into deep center field, while A.J. Rainaldi scorched a double off the fence in left-center to plate two more Lion runs.

Daley finished game two with five RBI on a 2-of-4 effort, while Gibree, Stancil, Rainaldi, and Mann each had two hits. Sieber crossed for three runs, while Rainaldi and Mann each logged two RBI.
