SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo men's lacrosse team was unable to capitalize on a strong first quarter, eventually falling to No. 1 Limestone, 16-7.
The Lions saw sophomore Jake Gilmour tally a team-high three goals and two assists. Keeper Dave Moore finished the game with seven saves.
With his one goal, Senior Dylan Yonts moved to sole possession of fifth place in Saint Leo history with 74 career goals.

1Q | In the opening quarter, Saint Leo held even with Limestone as both teams scored within the first three minutes, one from Limestone's Mike Messenger, and one from the Lions' Jake Gilmour. The Saints would follow with three straight goals, but the Lions would counter with Gilmour's second. LC added one from Kyle Rhatigan. Saint Leo closed the quarter with goals from Dylan Yonts, and Zach Lysyk. | LC 5-4 |
2Q | Limestone jumped out to a commanding lead in the second quarter, as the Lions were unable to get on the board. The Saint added five goals in the second, taking a 10-4 lead into the break. | LC 10-4 |
3Q | Again the visitors contained Saint Leo, keeping the Lions off the board for the second-straight quarter. Limestone matched their first and second quarter goal totals, tacking on five more. Keeper Dave Moore recorded three saves in the third for the Lions. | LC 15-4 |
