  • Set 1 | The Panthers only recorded two hitting errors at the net and hit .341 while Saint Leo tallied seven errors on 45 attempts. FIT outhit Saint Leo 16-14. The first few points of the frame proved crucial as the Panthers went on a 4-0 run for a 6-3 lead, and the Lions never recovered. A Siruckova kill ended the FIT run, but Saint Leo wasn't able to string together anything of its own. The Lions tied the set 11-11 as Siruckova collected back-to-back kills, but the Panthers immediately answered. FIT led by as many as seven, and at 22-17, the crowd in the Clemente Center assumed the Panthers had taken the first set. With Hodgskin back to serve, the Lions crept back within five, but yet again, FIT had an answer. Lemon collected her fifth kill of the frame, and in subbed Bradshaw to serve at 24-19. Bradshaw and the Lions fended off four match points, but ultimately fell 25-22.
  • Set 2 | Saint Leo turned in an errorless second set and an efficient .378 team attack percentage. The Lions collected 17 kills, well above their season average of 13.28 kills per set. Saint Leo scored first but it was back and forth until Stolzenburg slammed one down from the middle for a 6-5 edge. Townsend went back to the line and rattled of two serves to give Leo a 8-5 advantage. Saint Leo maintained the buffer until a 4-0 run by the Panthers brought FIT within one at 11-10. Siruckova ended the Panthers run, and Saint Leo extended its lead to 15-10. Florida Tech again snuck back into contention, but a Sederholm and Lemon went back-to-back down the line and put the lions up 19-16. Saint Leo never looked back as Townsend again went to the line. Townsend rattled off four straight points, and Leo won the set 25-19.
  • Set 3 | Serving made all the difference in the third and the Lions collected three aces and limited the Panthers to a 45% sideout percentage. Sederholm had her best set of the match, collecting four kills for the Lions offense. Once the Lions grabbed a 4-1 lead, they never looked back. Saint Leo led by as many 11, and closed the frame 25-15.
  • Set 4 | The first points of the set proved vital again, but Saint Leo never allowed the Panthers to earn more than two points in a row the entire set. The Lions jumped to a 6-3 advantage. A FIT service error sparked the Lions 3-0 run, aided by back-to-back Sederholm and Siruckova kills. The Panthers fought back and tied the match at 7-7, but it would be the only tie of the set. Another FIT service error sparked a Leo 3-0 run, this time aided by kills from Lemon and Adamson. Saint Leo continued to stretch its lead, and took its largest at 20-13. Despite a strong defensive effort from the Panthers at the end of the match, Saint Leo closed the set 25-20.
