SAINT LEO, Fla. -- The Saint Leo women's volleyball team rallied to a thrilling 3-2 victory over visiting Barry Saturday afternoon. The Lions were slow to start, but once they found their rhythm, Saint Leo battled for its fifth win in the Bowman Center this season. In the Sunshine State Conference Standings, the Lions are now the lone team in second place, and hold a one-match cushion over three teams tied for third.

How It Happened
- Anna Siruckova led the Lions with a match high 18 kills on 40 attempts and just two errors. The senior hit .400 for the match, added three blocks and two digs.
- Hope Lemon rallied for 14 kills, her second consecutive match with 14 kills. The junior also added 12 digs and one ace. Lemon now has six double-doubles this season.
- Ashlee Hodgskin dished out 42 assists, her 12th 40+ assists performance this season. Hodgskin collected her seventh double-double, the most of any Lion. The senior sprawled for a career high 17 digs, grabbed three block assists and also added a career high 6 kills.
- Avery Bradshaw and Britt Sederholm tallied five kills, Katie Adamson added four kills and Jillian Stolzenburg notched three.
- Stolzenburg led the match with seven blocks, including three solo blocks, a career high.
- Adamson added three block assists and a career high seven digs.
- Bradshaw combined with Reggie Van Devender and Hannah Pietz for 11 digs.
- Jamee Townsend led the Lions with 20 digs for her fourth straight 20+ dig match.
Beyond the Box score
- Saint Leo is now 6-2 in Marion Bowman, and are 5-1 in the past six matches at home.
- Siruckova collected her ninth double-digit kill performance, and just her fifth match hitting .400 or better.
- The Lions are 1-1 in five set matches, both full matches were against Barry.
- Saint Leo snapped a two-match losing streak, and the Lions have not dropped more than two-consecutive matches all season.
- The Lions are four wins away from a 20-win season. Saint Leo has only had seven 20-win seasons in the 34 years of program history. Head coach Sam Cibrone was at the helm for five the program's seven 20-win seasons. The Lions last 20-win season was in 2013. The Lions finished second in the SSC and reached the NCAA Regional Quarterfinals.
For the Buccaneers
- The Bucs had four hitters collect double-digit kills but not one recorded a double-double.
- Ivana Didanovic led the Bucs with 16 kills and a .211 attack percentage. Didanovic also added six blocks, a match high five block assists.
- Laine Cielena tallied 13 kills from the right side on 27 attempts.
- Katie Dooley and Kaitlin Drake combined for 21 kills, and the pair added four blocks.
- Brittany Jaco tallied a match high 31 digs, while Kat Espinosa added 16, Jasmine Serna 15 and Jenny Trinidad added 14. Trinidad also added a team second best three blocks.
- Serna dished out 27 assists while Trinidad handed out 25.
