DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Jamee Townsend joined the coveted 30 dig club Saturday afternoon in the Lions 3-1 victory over host Embry-Riddle. Saint Leo turned in a season best 90 digs and 10 blocks, for just the second double-digit block performance of the season.

How It Happened
- Townsend led the match with a career high 34 digs, one-third of the team's 90 total digs. Defensively, four different Lions collected double-digit digs for the first time this season.
- Defensive Specialist Reggie Van Devender also turned in a career day as the freshman tallied 12 digs.
- Outside hitter Britt Sederholm tied her career high with 15 digs. Sederholm notched her seventh double-double of the year thanks to a 16 kills. Sederholm hit at a .361 clip, turning in just three errors on 36 attempts.
- Hope Lemon led the match with 18 kills on 44 swings for a .318 attack percentage. The junior also added a season high four block assists and two service aces.
- Middle blocker Katie Adamson led the Lions with eight of the teams 10 blocks. Adamason added five kills, one block and one dig.
- Jillian Stolzenburg added four kills and two blocks while opposite Anna Siruckova chipped in six kills, six digs and five blocks.
- Ashlee Hodgskin dished out 45 assists and collected 10 digs for her fifth double-double of the season.
Beyond the Box score
- Saint Leo's dig total is the largest this season and the most since Nov. 8, 2013 at Rollins when the Lions also tallied 90 digs.
- The Lions 90 digs is the largest four-set total in the rally-scoring era.
- Townsend's 34 digs was a career-high and she became one of the elite liberos in the country as the junior reached the distinguished mark in four sets.
- Lemon's 18 kills ties her career high, but Saturday's match was the juniors most efficient double-digit kill outing this season.
- Sederholm's 16 kills is her second highest kill total of the season, her highest since Sept. 19 when the Utah native collected 19 kills.
For the Eagles
- Evelina Abdurakhmanova led the Blue and Gold with 15 kills and picked up eight digs while Amanda Saunders contributed eight kills and 12 digs.
- Caitlyn Ballard collected a team-high 22 digs and added seven assists while Tamires Ferreira racked up 30 assists, 21 digs and seven kills.
