Joseph Linley was named the Saint Leo women’s soccer team graduate assistant coach and head junior varsity coach for women’s soccer in August of 2024.
Linley was a three-year member of the Lander University men’s soccer team from 2020-2022. During his tenure as a Bearcat, Linley was named to the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Team of Academic Distinction all three years in addition to being tabbed the PBC Tournament MVP with College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team honors. Linley started 44 of his 46 games played with Lander and collected six assists while logging over 3,700 minutes. Apart from his collegiate career, he also has professional soccer experience as well with the Aston Villa Football Club as he played with the club from 2015 to 2017.
Linley’s additional coaching experience includes being the head soccer coach for a youth club in Hickory, South Carolina from 2017-2018. The England native also coached multiple U6 and U14 teams in England and provided private lessons to athletes in the United Kingdom.
Linley earned a bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in marketing and management from Lander in 2022.
