Jonathan Glass

Jonathan Glass was hired as the Director of Athletic Communications at Saint Leo in November 2023. In this position he will serve as the primary media contact for Saint Leo Athletics as well as several varsity teams.
 
Prior to returning to his home state, Glass served as an Assistant Director of Athletic Communications at the University of Pennsylvania for two years. In this position he served as the primary media contact for the Quakers' women’s soccer, women’s tennis, softball and wrestling programs. During his two-year tenure in Philly, his teams combined for 43 All-Ivy honors, two conference rookie of the year awards, as well as one All-America status in wrestling. Additionally, while in the City of Brotherly Love, Glass was part of a team that served as the host institution for the 2022 Men’s Basketball Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight at the Wells Fargo Center and was part of the media team for the NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Championships at Lincoln Financial Field in 2023.
 
Prior to Penn, Glass served as an Assistant Director of Athletic Communications at his alma mater, Florida Southern College, for four years. He oversaw social media content and served as the primary media contact for several sports including men’s and women’s lacrosse, women's soccer, and softball. Glass also oversaw all aspects of graphics for Florida Southern Athletics.
 
Glass spent time as a full-time intern with both the Atlantic 10 Conference and the South Atlantic Conference before returning to Florida Southern. At the SAC, Glass assisted in all areas of graphic design and public relations and produced "SAC Daily Dose," a tri-weekly video recap of the conference's athletic events.
 
During the 2016-17 season, Glass served as the championships intern with the A-10, where he assisted in all aspects of the conference's 21 different championship events. He also spent his final semester of college as an intern in the Sunshine State Conference office and worked in the Florida Southern athletic communications office as a student.
 
Glass, who earned his degree in advertising and public relations with a minor in Spanish from Florida Southern in 2016, also served as an intern for the St. Petersburg Bowl and worked as a game-day staff member for the Lakeland Flying Tigers. He also volunteered with the Tampa Bay Sports Commission at the 2017 College Football National Championship game at Raymond James Stadium. In 2019, Glass worked in the PR department for the Gasparilla Bowl in Tampa. In February and March of 2021, he was the official statistician for numerous Big Ten softball games in Leesburg, Fla.
 
In May of 2020, Glass earned his master’s in Collegiate Athletic Administration online from Coker University.
