Britteny Johnson

Britteny Johnson was named the head coach of the Saint Leo acrobatics and tumbling team on June 14, 2023 and is entering her second year at the helm of the A&T program for the 2025 season. Previously, Johnson served as the head coach at Coker University as she was appointed the first head coach in the program's history for the Cobras in 2019.

After her first season with Saint Leo, the Lions were represented on the National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) Academic Honor Roll by12 student-athletes in the spring of 2024. Additionally, Johnson oversaw the first perfect-10 score in program history on April 11, 2024 versus Presbyterian in the open heat. 

During Johnson's tenure at Coker College, 11 Cobras were named to the NCATA Academic Honor Roll. Deja Robinson was selected to the Conference Carolinas Academic All-Conference Team. Johnson has also previously served as an assistant coach at her alma mater, Glenville State.
 
In addition to her duties as an assistant coach, Johnson taught acrobatics and tumbling gymnastics classes at Glenville State and worked as a cheer revolution instructor for students ranging from elementary to high school.

Johnson earned a degree in exercise science at Glenville State, where she also competed on their Acrobatics & Tumbling team. During her time as a student-athlete, she was awarded the Glenville State College Most Valuable Player on the acrobatics and tumbling team. Additionally, Johnson is a two-time NCATA national event title qualifier in 5-element acro and a one-time qualifier in duo pyramid, toss heat 1, and heat 2 pyramid.
