Saint Leo University Athletics

Alex Greco took over the helm of the Saint Leo women's soccer program in the Summer of 2026. He arrived at Saint Leo after spending the past four seasons as the head coach at Adams State University, where he guided the Grizzlies to unprecedented success while continuing to elevate the program on the field and in the classroom. During his tenure, Greco led Adams State to its first RMAC Tournament victory in program history during the 2025 season. 

Greco's leadership was on full display as the 2025 season marked a historic campaign in his final year with the Grizzlies. The program established single-season records for victories, shutouts, and winning percentage. Under Greco's leadership, Adams State also produced its first United Soccer Coaches All-Region selections in program history. Off the field, the Grizzlies recorded a program-best 3.51 team GPA, highlighted by eight student-athletes earning a perfect 4.0 GPA and 18 posting a GPA of 3.5 or higher. 

Prior to Adams State, Greco spent two seasons at NCAA Division I Iowa State as the Cyclones' Performance Analyst Assistant Coach. During his time in Ames, Iowa State posted its longest unbeaten streak since 2010 and advanced to the Big 12 Tournament, where the Cyclones battled TCU to a draw. 

Greco also served as the interim head coach at SSC foe Lynn University during the 2019 season after previously working as an assistant coach beginning in 2017. He guided the Fighting Knights to a 7-8-3 record, the program's best finish since 2011, while leading Lynn to its first postseason appearance since 2012. 

Before his time at Lynn, Greco spent one season as an assistant coach at Spring Hill College and gained valuable experience at the Division I level as a volunteer assistant at Indiana University. While with the Hoosiers, he helped the program record a 463-minute defensive scoreless streak, the second-longest in school history, while contributing to practice planning, tactical preparation, video analysis, and opponent scouting. Greco also spent two seasons as a volunteer assistant at UNC Greensboro, serving as the goalkeepers coach during his second year and helping mentor multiple All-Conference performers. 

Greco earned his bachelor's degree in Business Administration with dual majors in Entertainment Sports Promotional Management and Business Management from Northwood University (now Keiser University), where he competed as a member of the men's soccer team. 

Greco and his wife, Alex, a physical therapist at SLV Health, have two sons, Luca and Leo. He will begin his duties immediately and oversee all aspects of the Saint Leo women's soccer program, including recruiting, player development, scheduling, academic success, and community engagement.
