Olson was named the assistant track and field coach for both the men's and women's programs in the summer of 2025.
Prior to coming to the Sunshine State, she served as an assistant coach at South Dakota School of Mines & Technology from 2023-2025. Before her stint in South Dakota, Olson was a graduate assistant coach at Black Hills State, where she earned a master's degree in strategic leadership in 2023.
As a student-athlete, Olson competed in track and field at Sioux Falls and earned her bachelor's in exercise science in 2021. During her career at Sioux Falls, she collected second team all-conference honors while placing second in the heptathlon.
As a coach, she has helped guide five provisional qualifiers, four conference champions, two NCAA All-Region honorees, three first team all-conference individuals, eight second team all-conference standings, 17 conference score holders, 43 conference qualifiers, and nine school recorder holders.
