Saint Leo University Athletics

Annie Bengry returns for her third season with Saint Leo men's and women's swimming in 2017-18, after joining the program as a graduate assistant coach prior to the 2015-16 season.

Bengry came to Saint Leo from Marquette, Mich., where she served as a volunteer coach while earning her Bachelor of Science degree in sport science at Northern Michigan University. She also served as a swim coach, lifeguard, swim instructor, and aquatics assistant for the YMCA of Marquette County.

A former collegiate swimmer, Bengry also trained for three years as an Olympic weightlifter at the US Olympic Training Site at Northern Michigan University. She brings her extensive training knowledge and aquatic experience to assist Coach Mangen in preparing for another season of big expectations for the Lions’ swimmers.

Bengry is a native of Marquette, Mich.
