CAREER
Competed for Tampa Prep for Coach Jason Bowes… Won bronze in the 4x100 freestyle relay at the 2011 Florida state championships in 2011… Won the Heart of a Champion Scholarship in 2014… Attended Assumption College before transferring to Saint Leo… Member of Assumption’s team that won the NE-10 Championship in 2015… Won the 500 Free (5:05.32) and 200 Free (1:51.70) at the 2015 NE-10 Championships, and was part of Assumption’s first place teams in the 200 Medley Relay, 800 Free Relay, 400 Medley Relay, and 400 Free Relay… 2015 NE-10 Women’s Swimmer of the Year… Broke three individual school records in 50/100/200 freestyle in 2015…Competed for Academy Aquatics Club Team for Coach Bill Shaffer.

Born July 22 in China… Daughter of Lynda McDermott and Bill Waite… Has one brother, Scott and one sister, Debbie… Her career goals are to counsel student athletics… She believes her biggest asset is her competitive team spirit… Her favorite athletes are Allison Schmitt, Michael Phelps, and Missy Franklin… Her favorite team is the New England Patriots… Her favorite food is pasta… If she had one super power it would be to fly.
