AS A SOPHOMORE (2015-16)
Posted personal best times in the 100 Freestyle (55.04), the 100 Butterfly (1:00.03), and the 200 Individual Medley (2:15.85) at the 2016 Sunshine State Conference Championships… recorded a new 50 Freestyle time of 25.52 in the 200 Free Relay at the SSC meet… competed in nine meets over the course of 2015-16.
AS A FRESHMAN (2014-15)
Competed in seven meets... Mostly swam the 100 Back, 200 IM, and participated on 200 Medley "B" relay team... Finished 2nd in 200 Medley relay vs. Rollins on Jan. 31... Member of Saint Leo University President's Club Spring 2015
CAREER
Competed for Falls Church High School, VA for late Coach Clayton Joyner… Four time Varsity Letter Winner, two time Conference runner-up, three time Regionals qualifier, three time State Qualifier… Competed for numerous club teams including Brandon Sports and Aquatic Center, Okinawa Dolphins Swim Team, Olympic Aquatic Club, Bremerton YMCA Swim Team, and Potomac Marlins Swim Team
PERSONAL
Born 24th August in Okinawa, Japan… Psychology Major… Daughter of Curtis and Mitzi Carlin… Has two brothers, John and Nicholas… Has one sister, Sammie… Her father Curtis dove for two years at Indian River State College; and was a two time All-American… Her hobbies include going to the beach, going on spontaneous adventures with her family or friends, horseback riding, playing piano, and swimming… Career goals include graduating with a bachelor’s of science in psychology, and attending graduate school for animal behavior… She would like to become an animal behaviorist-canine specialist-and train dogs for specific agencies… Believes her peppiness, team spirit, and sportsmanship are her greatest assets… Lists Tim Tebow, Michael Phelps, and Missy Franklin as her favorite athletes… Her favorite sports teams are University of Florida, Indianapolis Colts, Seattle Seahawks, Washington Nationals and USA Swimming… Chose Saint Leo because her family will be moving from VA in 2 years because of USMC orders, I wanted a university near to my other family. I now have grandparents, aunts and uncles. Also it was her dream to go to a school in Florida and where she could swim on a team. Also comments that she fell in love with the campus instantly and liked that it was a small university where you actually feel like you belong… If she won the lottery she would buy her parents their dream retirement house, buy a new car, pay off graduate school loans, and then put the rest in the bank to save for her children's' education.
