TJ Marik joined the Saint Leo baseball staff as an assistant coach in the Fall of 2019. He was a former NCAA Division I baseball student-athlete at both Austin Peay University and Northern Kentucky University.
Marik served as the first base coach during his first season on the diamond for the Lions which was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Prior to joining the Lions, Marik served as the hitting coach for the Rockford Rivets of the Northwoods League where the team won 33 games, the second most wins in program history, this past summer.

Marik spent last season as the head assistant coach at Roosevelt University in Chicago, Ill. He helped coach a pair of All-Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Second Team honorees in 2019.

While at NKU finishing out his playing career, Marik was named to the Johnny Bench Award Watch List before being forced to retire due to injuries. He concluded the year as a student assistant coach.

Marik graduated from UNK in December of 2018 with a bachelor's in organizational leadership with a focus on health education.
