Edlund, a native of Gulf Breeze, Fla., was a four-year member of the Troy University women's soccer team including three years under the direction of O'Connor. She started 59 contests for the Trojans while scoring nine goals and dishing out 18 assists as a midfielder/defender. She set the single season assists record at Troy as a senior in 2019 which also pushed her to the top of the career assists list. She earned Second Team All-Sun Belt Conference honors as a senior while also serving as a team captain for the Trojans.

Following her time at Troy, Edlund headed overseas to compete for Club Deportivo de Parquesol in Valladolid, Spain. The club competes in the Segunda Division Pro, which is the second tier of Spanish professional soccer. She became just the third American to join the club in its history.

Edlund graduate from Tory University in 2020 with a degree in Rehabilitation and Disability Studies with a minor in Exercise Science.
