Biography
AS A SOPHOMORE (2009-10)
Parada swam in all seven meets for the Lions…He posted his best times of the year in the 500 and 1000 Free, as well as the 100 Back…In the 500 Free, he swam a season best 5:09.1 at the BGM Conference meet (2/12/10)…In the 1000 Free, he swam a time of 11:06.4 in the RC-SLU Meet (10/31/09). Parada also posted his best time of the season in the 100 Back at the YMCA Meet (11/20/09) with a time of 1:01.00.
AS A FRESHMAN (2008-09)
Parada competed in six of eight events during his freshman season for the Lions…At the Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championships (2/14/09), Parada competed in a pair of individual finals where he closed the 200 Yard Backstroke competition with a time 2:10.68…Parada also swam the 1000 Freestyle and crossed the line with a time of 10:55.26.
PERSONAL
Parada was born November 17 in Caracas, Venezuela…He is a Biology major…His hobbies include fishing and cycling…Names Aaron Peirsol his favorite athlete and the Florida Marlins as his favorite team…He chose Saint Leo because of its strong academic programs…Son of Ruben and Natasha Parada…Has one brother, Ivan.
